About Theresa

Theresa is also known to her friends and family as Tre (pronounced tree).

She comes from Tonbridge in Kent, however, she now lives in Hailsham, East Sussex.

She's has always had a love of painting, ever since childhood. One of her proudest moments was having one of her artworks going up on her art teachers classroom wall, and staying up there all the time she was at that school, her teachers name was Mr Best, he inspired her.

Like a lot of people, she did not have the opportunity to go and study at art college, but instead left school and went straight into her working life. 

She trained for 2 years studying pharmacy, and then qualifying as a registered pharmacy technician, making medicinal mixtures, ointments and creams etc. Serving the public, dispensing prescriptions and making sure that they got their medications quickly and most importantly correctly.

She did this for over 43 years, however then due to ill health and personal set-backs she took early retirement.

But this was a bitter sweet pill to swallow (excuse the pun), as she can now do the thing that she loves doing.......and that is.......painting

She loves animals, nature and the sea, so her main subjects are:

Landscapes, seascapes and wildlife. her other passion is music and comedy.

So you will find also find on the website portraits of celebrities that she admires.

She paints with acrylic or oil paint, normally on stretched canvas, canvas boards or sometimes canvas sheets.
